From Chaos to Calm …
5 Weeks beginning February 2, 2026
Bring balance to your life by working creatively with Neurographic Art to explore
the Four Elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth
Winter is the season when growth is not about striving outwardly but about turning inward into something older, deeper, truer and more elemental. If you are feeling overwhelmed by world events, out of balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, or simply looking for a quiet and mindful practice to help you navigate the ups and downs of life this winter, then this is the course for you!

How can a creative process and the four elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth restore calm and clarity to your spirit and soul?
My newest online course is based on two concepts:
Elemental Theory is a symbolic way various cultures and philosophies throughout history have used to understand the qualities and energies that influence our well-being. Restoring balance between the four aspects of ourselves – physical (Earth), emotional (Water), mental (Air) and spiritual (Fire) – is how we become to better equipped to navigate life’s ups, downs and uncertainties.
Neurographic Art is a creative process that combines self-reflection with drawing simple lines and shapes following a very specific method. It promotes physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being by allowing us to bypass our logical mind and access our subconscious wisdom. Its practice is accessible to everyone, regardless of artistic skill, and focuses on a journey rather than the finished product.
No special art skills or artistic abilities are needed and very few materials are required – only a few markers, some paper and a set of coloured pencils.
In this all-new “retreat” style online course you will use neurographic art and its mindful approach to visually explore the elemental energies of Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Many traditions, both spiritual and scientific, view these four elements as critical forces for sustaining life. By taking a deep dive into each of them, we will discover where they are out of balance within ourselves and our lives, then gently rebalance and reharmonize them through the creation of a series of neurographic drawings that will reflect the journey from chaos to calm.
If you took my first neurographic art course last winter, this course is the perfect follow-up, a more meandering and meditative journey with new content and a different approach.
If you have not experienced neurographic art before then you are in for a treat as I gently guide you through this fascinating process.
Here are some beautiful examples of neurographic art, similar to what you will be creating during this course and made by students with no special artistic skills:
A little more about Neurographic Art
Neurographic art is a combination of science, psychology, art therapy, and mindfulness. In short, it is a creative process that calms the mind and soothes the soul … and who couldn’t use a little of that in today’s uncertain and chaotic world!
The word “neurographic” contains clues to the two concepts that are essential to understanding how the process works:
- “Neuro” refers to our brain cells and the connections between them, and
- “Graphic” refers to a visual and symbolic depiction of an idea or concept
Creating neurographic art has been scientifically proven to form new neural synapses and pathways in our brain while producing a mindful, meditative, yet aware state that engages both our aesthetic and emotional intelligence.
At it’s most basic, a neurographic drawing is simply doodling. But it is a very specific way of doodling that intuitively allows energy to flow – from your brain, to your arm, to your hand, to the drawing in front of you. Thoughts, feelings and beliefs can express themselves freely with the finished drawings acting like mirrors that reflect back vital wisdom from your subconscious.
The beauty of the neurographic process is that is requires no artistic skills whatsoever, so it is perfect for non-artists. If you can doodle, you can do it!
Here are some other benefits from engaging in neurographic drawing:
- Relief from chronic pain and anxiety
- Calming of the nervous system
- Lowered blood pressure
- An increase in fine motor skills
- Clarity and peacefulness
- A break from overthinking or “monkey-mind”
- No pressure to make “good” art
- Can be put into practical use as a regular meditative routine
How is the course structured?
This “retreat” style program is 5-weeks of self-discovery within the support of a safe container of fellow journeyers and myself as your guide. You will:
- Work your way through short, self-guided lessons each week that have guided meditations, poetry, quotes and journal questions as prompts for creating neurographic drawings. These drawings are basically “doodles” made up of simple shapes and lines that you draw intuitively at your own pace.
- Attend live group sessions via Zoom each week (with recordings available if you can’t) to share your process, receive valuable feedback and be inspired by other’s work.
- Experience an “exhale…” as mind, body and spirit comes back into balance and harmony …
By the end of our time together you will have a series of drawings in a sketchbook or other format of your choosing that records your journey and gives you a mindful process you can continue to explore and utilize long after the course is over.
Join me on this creative path of bringing yourself back to balance, harmony and peace …

A Little More about How the Course Works
Each week will have short daily lessons (available through a dedicated learning platform on my website) that focus on a single idea, reflection or creative prompt. The amount of time you devote to the material is totally up to you, but you are encouraged to carve out some sacred time for yourself daily and/or weekly in order to receive the most benefit from this program.
The course materials will be presented in a variety of formats including PDF’s, video or audio which you can read, view and listen to at any time. No technical expertise is required as the formats will be easy to download or view/listen on your laptop or other device.
Live Zoom sessions (one per week) will be scheduled to allow for companionship and sharing your experiences as well as being inspired by how others are engaging with the activities. All sessions will be recorded and available to listen to afterwards for those who cannot attend live.
