Magically weave your intentions for the year ahead!

LOCATION:  Studio #206 on the upper level of The Alton Mill Arts Centre
FEE:  $120+ HST per person (all materials included)

Did you know that the ancient Celtic festival of “Samhain” (pronounced ‘sow-oon’) is the origin of our modern day All Hallows Eve or Halloween?

Traditionally celebrated around the first of November, our ancestors knew this was a time when the “veils between the worlds” are thinnest and all manner of spirits, ghosts and goblins can pass easily from the world beyond into ours. It is also a time for working magic and casting spells.

To do a little of your own spellcasting (white magick only please!) and intention setting, join me in making your own ‘Witches Ladder’, an ancient form of Celtic folk magic and an expressive crafting technique that will help set your hopes and dreams in motion for the coming year.

Wool, ribbon, charms, natural items and found objects as well as twigs, berries and other organic bits and pieces gathered from local forests will be used to make your “ladder”. This is a wonderful way to “cast” intentions for the year ahead as you weave thoughts, prayers and spells into your magical creation.

The session will be rounded out with a short, guided meditation and blessing of your magical creation. Your finished “ladder” can be hung indoors or outdoors to help protect your home and send its messages to the spirit world.

All materials supplied although if you have a small token or charm that is meaningful to you that you wish to incorporate into your ladder somehow you are encouraged to bring it along.

CANCELLATION POLICY. Please note that all workshops are non-refundable if you are a no-show, cancel or change your mind at the last minute. A raincheck for another workshop may be offered if there are extenuating circumstances that prevent you from attending but this will be solely at the discretion of the instructor. In the event a class needs to be cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons it will be rescheduled or fully refunded.
