Although still invisible, by late February we are beginning to sense the first stirrings of new life deep beneath the ground … soon it will be spring. Although winter’s grip may still hang on for a few weeks more, this workshop is an opportunity to spend an afternoon of anticipatory play as together we explore the combination of watercolour and collaging.
Tapping into nature’s expectant energies, first we will create lush wet-on-wet backgrounds, then intuitively add a variety of different art materials such as ink, acrylics, torn paper, photographic images, fabric, textured items, words, etc. This process will both enhance and tease out the “landscapes” hidden within the watercolour backgrounds as we respond to them in ways that are personally meaningful and revealing.
No artistic skill is required, just a willingness to play. This is a mindful and meditative way to produce several small unique art pieces that are a direct expression of the inner landscapes of your soul and the messages they are sending you. The possibilities are endless and no two pieces will be alike. Lots of prompts will be offered to prime your creative pump and half the fun will be sharing the collective energy we raise in anticipation of spring’s arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Space is limited and my workshops often have a waitlist so they are non-refundable if you are a no-show or cancel last-minute. If cancellation due to weather or other extenuating circumstances is necessary the workshop will be rescheduled to a new date.
