Learn some watercolour fundamentals while painting autumn leaves in a fun and easy way

​In this workshop you will learn a simple and effective way to paint autumn leaves with the beautiful fluid medium of watercolor. Although watercolour can sometimes be a bit daunting, some of the techniques we will be using are surprisingly easy and produce great results!

We will be covering a few fundamentals of painting with watercolour such as wet-on-wet and glazing, plus a few extra tricks like incising and dry-brush. The glorious rich colours of nature’s fall leaves will be our inspiration and the perfect subject matter for practicing these skills. And, with this knowledge under your belt you will be able to tackle other subjects on your own in a similar manner.

This is a fun, interactive workshop suited to anyone, even if you are a complete beginner. By the end of the workshop you will have several lovely little watercolours and have mastered some basic skills in a relaxing and experiential environment.

Paper and stretching boards are supplied. If you have your own watercolour paints and brushes you are encouraged to bring them so that you are working with what you already have. I can then also advise what you may need to supplement them with. If you don’t have your own materials yet I can supply them for your use during the workshop.

This is an in-person workshop limited to only 5 participants which means you get lots of one-on-one help.

CANCELLATION POLICY. Please note that all workshops are non-refundable if you are a no-show, cancel or change your mind at the last minute. A raincheck for another workshop may be offered if there are extenuating circumstances that prevent you from attending but this will be solely at the discretion of the instructor. In the event a class needs to be cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons it will be rescheduled or fully refunded.
